Jennifer Aniston says she has “no desperation” to start a family, following rampant media speculation that she is already pregnant.

The former “Friends” actress, who has been quietly dating actor Justin Theroux since earlier this year, refused to discuss her relationship. But in an interview for the November issue of Elle, she addressed celebrity media reports that she is expecting a baby with Theroux

“But it’s not what you read. There’s no desperation. If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. I’m at peace with whatever the plan is,” Aniston told the magazine in an excerpt released on Wednesday.

The actress is currently making the rounds promoting her directorial effort in Lifetime television’s breast cancer awareness anthology “Five.”

Aniston also revealed a tempestuous streak, albeit in the name of justice, when she got once into an altercation with a male director on the set of one of her films.

“I threw a chair at a director. It wasn’t my proudest moment. He was treating a script supervisor horribly… When the director walked in, I threw a chair at him. I missed, of course. I was like, ‘You can’t speak to people like that.’ I can’t tolerate it,” said Aniston, without naming the director.

Aniston covers Elle’s annual “Women in Hollywood” November issue, which also features interviews with actresses Naomi Watts, Michelle Pfeiffer and icon Barbra Streisand.

Jennifer Aniston has fuelled fresh rumours that she could be heading for marriage with beau Justin Theroux as she displayed a new heart-shaped ring during her appearance to promote breast cancer prevention recently.

Aniston joined Dr. Jill Biden and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius at the new Inova Breast Care Center in Alexandria, Va. where they toured the mammography room and learned about the facility’s new breast cancer treatments, reports ABC News.

Aniston is also recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness month by serving as an executive producer for the Lifetime Original movie “Five,” which explores the impact of breast cancer on people’s lives.

Jen was wearing the jewellery item on her right hand – and it comes as an addition to the gold ring on her wedding finger.

Aniston and Theroux both have matching gold bands and caused a stir when they were first spotted wearing them back in June.

The annual event is held by the fashion magazine to pay tribute to those who have redefined women’s roles in movies.

A host of the biggest names in Hollywood will attend the glitzy event.

As well as Jennifer, Michelle Pfeiffer, Viola Davis, Evan Rachel Wood, Naomi Watts and Freida Pinto will also be recognised.

Legendary singer Barbra Streisand is receiving the L’Oréal Paris Legend Award, but it’s not all about the Hollywood icons.

New faces will also get a look in, with Elizabeth Olsen getting the Calvin Klein Collection Emerging Star Spotlight Award.

Elizabeth is the younger sister of famous twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and has been making a name for herself recently by shooting movies such as Silent House and Martha Marcy May Marlene.

The chief executive officer of film studio DreamWorks Stacey Snider will also get a prize.

“As has long been our tradition, this year we honour an extraordinary group of women who continue to redefine what is possible in Hollywood,” said Robbie Myers, the editor-in-chief of Elle.

“From icons to stars to emerging talent, we are thrilled to celebrate their contribution to understanding what it means to be a woman in the wider world.”

The ceremony will take place at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills on October 17.
